Once Upon a Word is inkwell.’s monthly storytelling experience, taking place every second Thursday from 7–9 PM, where stories come alive and community gathers in the most human way possible. More than an open mic, this is an evening rooted in presence, vulnerability, laughter, and connection—designed to celebrate the art of storytelling in all its forms. Each month features a new theme, a new atmosphere, and a new featured storyteller, making every gathering a completely unique experience.
From nostalgic summer memories and hilarious family vacations to stories of love, growth, heartbreak, friendship, adventure, and transformation, Once Upon a Word invites people to reflect on the moments that shape who we are. Some nights are lighthearted and playful, others deeply personal and reflective, but every evening creates space for authenticity, creativity, and community.
